You’ve heard me talk about the importance of water safety lots of times here on the blog and on my social media. As a mom, large bodies of water really scare me. Pools, ponds…even the bathtub. I have kids who are fearless and incredibly independent. While taking a fall and possibly breaking an arm isn’t ideal, obviously, it’s also not the end of the world. An accident involving water, however, can have major consequences. This is why it’s been a priority for us to teach our kids how to be confident and stay safe around water.
(This post is part of our partnership with Goldfish Swim School)
One of the things we love about Goldfish Swim School is that they take water safety seriously too. I recently learned that they offer free water safety presentations to schools, daycares and community groups. This makes me love them even more. We’re incredibly blessed to be able to send Liam to Goldfish for swim lessons, but not every child has the opportunity to take swim lessons regularly. This is a great way for them to still learn about the importance of water safety whether or not they’re learning how to swim.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, here are all the deets:
- The 20-minute water safety program is totally FREE.
- It’s designed for kids ages 3-7.
- The class is taught by Goldfish’s swim school instructors and use different activities to teach kids important safety methods. These instructors go over water safety with students during every swim lesson, so they really know their stuff.
- Your kids will come home with additional information so you can see what they learned.
To schedule one of these water safety presentations for your school or community group, call your local Goldfish Swim School location. Let me know if you do – I’d love to hear what you think about it!
