Okay, so technically it’s not Liam’s birthday today. That doesn’t happen until next week. And honestly, I keep forgetting about it because we have a lot going on around here lately. But thankfully, our friends at Goldfish Swim School remembered! Liam got this awesome postcard in the mail earlier this week.
Liam LOVES getting mail. I think he’s been a little disappointed lately because most of the packages we’ve been getting have been baby things for Caleb. So any time I tell him that there’s a piece of mail for him, he gets super excited.
Not only is this postcard from Goldfish a happy birthday surprise, but it also notes that Liam gets a snack from the Snack Shack and a birthday ribbon from his swim instructor. Liam likes going to swim lessons, but I’ve never seen him as excited to go to his lesson. I had to keep reminding him that he had to get through the actual lesson before he could choose a snack. Anyone have a snack-obsessed kid?
This birthday postcard is just one more thing we love about swimming with Goldfish. If you’ve been thinking about checking them out (at either their Westerville or Dublin locations), they have one more Mini Class Playdate left for this month. If you didn’t see the info on my Instagram earlier this month, here are the details:
The Mini Class Playdate is a FREE class for children ages 4-35 months old. And a parent has to participate too. It’s a 30 minute class to help introduce them to the water. The last class is tomorrow evening, Friday September 29th. Call 614-407-3474 for more info or to register for the class.
I actually thought about signing Caleb up for one of these mini classes, but I couldn’t get any of these to fit in our schedule. We did have a couple opportunities to take him swimming over the summer, though. Turns out, he LOVES the water. I think it’s so important to introduce your littles to the pool early on to get them comfortable, so if you’re free tomorrow you should definitely sign up!
Happy swimming!
